Map Submiting in PMs

I was wondering if there was a reason we can't attach maps to our PMs. It would be great if I could send my maps to friends I've met over the forums.

If there's a safety precaution regarding this I completely understand, I'd just like to know if there's a chance that you admins will consider this.

On the offhand that I somehow miraculously missed an attachment button on the PM window I apologize.

Not hard to upload elsewhere and just PM link.

Besides, it's faster uploading else where.

Is it possible to have ONLY maps allowed in PMs?

The system is checking the extension... so... you could upload pretty much any file type by changing its extension to one allowed. I don't know how bad that is, I have no experience on how viruses and other stuff works, but that is the main reason to not allow this, AFAIK.

Very bad. It's enough to say in the PM "change extension to exe/zip/rar/mp3/whatever" and TH has become a file exchange site.
And before somebody comes up with the "idea" of staff checking each and every attachment - the answer is no.

But not through thehelper.net's server. TheHelper does not support 'illegal' files including piracy, and thus will not allow way to transfer them publicly nor privately.

Yes but that's not our problem now is it?

Its not uploaded into our server which is the may cause for the worry... Anyway; Ace and Sfilip answered this thread.
