Need help with computers casting spells!

Okey, first time poster around here, but I've read and learned a lot so I guess I can get an answer on this as well...

Anyways, what I'm looking for is some way to make my computer controlled creeps/heroes to cast spells, and I've tried the AI editor, but it doesn't seem to be working for me.

Short story; I want my computers to make their units cast my custom spells in a non-melee map.

Like you order dummy units to cast it the same
Or you need to import ur custom data into the AI editor and then set to make them cast it

Could you explain exactly, how to setup the AI thing, because I seem to fail miserably at it, and would really like some help with it. :)

i think you need use timer
if cooldown of spell which you want computer to cast is 5
use timer 5.00 seconds

IAmSoDoomed is correct you need to use triggers to make the units cast spells.
The main thing is the function he posted, besides that you have to think of a way for the ai (the one youre triggerin yourself) to decide when to cast a spell.

The easiest way would be to have a periodic trigger that just tries to cast a spell at any target in range: if successfull, then wait for cooldown, else try again one period later.
Then you can add conditions to improve it, for example only cast nukespells on units that are already low on hp.
Or add different events, like if the unit is damaged cast the spell on attacker.
