Need Help With Icon Selection

Ok so I got 3 icons, which should I use for an ability that debuffs an enemy... so really Im asking which one looks better?

They are missing borders, though.

#1 looks cool, illuminating light in that dark area

THB i'm just not seeing the debuff ability in that icon. i dunno maybe its just me. as for the icons put some borders on them. that might help a little.

Yea Ill border them but havent doen it yet. So far I got 1 and 2.

#1 in my opinion.
And by 'borders', we mean the Wc3 icon borders.
Not some random grey stroke

#2 looks great, but when you're looking at a small icon such as on a debuff, you're not going to see that slight color difference. You kind of NEED a contrast between them to even see it. So I'd either go with 4, because the glow simply makes it seem like an ability instead of just a need design, or 1, because it's visible.

So my final vote is: #4.

Alright ill take that into account, as for the border my entire map is custom icons, all of them have that border jsut the small differences that I hope will make it look good.

If you want to have the wc3 border you can always just throw an original icon of wc3 over and select the border, copy it, and then just place it over your picture.

ALthough that all can be very difficult or easy, depending on what program you use and the knowledge of photo editing(I suck)
