Orb of lighting new based ability shows strange letters

guys, i am doing a melee hero, each time he attacks he dones bonus damage,

i am using orb of lighting new for the base spell and searing arrows for the bonus damage .... but when i level up it in game it doesnt show the proper tooltip i put on the searing arrows based ability ..., it also gives random strange letters i think this does not work for melee? can you please help me?

the ability doesnt work at all anyways, that wouldnt fix the prob. .. because it has an misile graphic .. and it wont show at all

will make that a diference? the ability doesnt work at all as i said ... it has a misile fx ... if it work it would show whilke attacking an enemy but it isnt

both, i have tried, the spell works, but the misile effect does not show .. and the tooltip is messed up... D:

Searing arrows is not a melee ability.

Replace it with crit strike, and use damage bonus instead of multiplier.
You could also use bash.

Your Meltic King Bow is based on Searing Arrows? About the tooltips, what you showed us in your screenie is only the tooltip when the unit is learning the skill. The normal tooltip when you've already learnt the skill is at the bottom.

yeah is based on searing arrows .. and about the tooltip i have added all the tooltips in all abilities ... it doesnt show tooltips anyways ... just what you saw


and i think is about that melting arrows is not an melee ... damn is for that? the damage is suposed to be magical ... and it is suposed to make the misile death effect when you hit enemies ... with every blow ...


i think searing arrows is not the proper ability?

Wait hold on. I don't get this. Orb of Lightning is used for what? And The screenie you posted, is that passive?

2. Is the unit with the ability melee or ranged.

Try Orb of Slow?

If you want a spell that deals extra damage every whack, you can try use the spell "Incinerate", although it's an orb effect.

If you want an ability that will make your hero attack after being attacked, try basing the ability on Thorns Aura, give it a cooldown (if you want to) and change the damage from a percentage of the enemies attack to an amount of damage.
This is likely how they made the centaur warchief's return ability in DOTA.
