Perma Slide

How would i go about creating a permanent slide effect, kinda like the slide in Polar Escape. The type where you can turn etc.

I've tried the slide tutorial, but thats a skill slide, and only works for single player, is there a way that i can make a permanent slide effect for all players, without making it a skill?

Add all units to some unit group.
And periodically slide the entire group. Always.

btw, i had a look at Worm Wars, the Blizzard map and it used custom scripting for the whole thing, how could i get something like tht, i tried analyzing it, but it had too many variables and i dont really udnerstand tht

Some inspirational map maybe... really easy. Doesn't get any simpler.
Sliding is turned on or off by pressing "escape".

he wants to know how to make the slide effect. I can't use it cause I FREAKIN LOST MY TFT CD and i gotta go find it now. New system doesn't have it on hard drive =(. Stupid S-ATA.

Yer, thanks, i got the Slide workng, but can't cast any skills, probably cause its constantly moving, how can i make it slide for all players, AND include skills working?

u can detect when the spell order is given and then have a dummy cast it, then replace the spell with a no-target spell, order it 2 be used, and then switch back once it cools

Welcome to the forums and to map making

Search for dummy units or dummy casting. Or even ... look in the tutorials section. Search is your friend. Here's something to start you off. Take a gander in there and see if you can find something you're looking for.
