Player vs. Computer help

Hello. Soooo, I am trying to make in-game bots. What I mean by in game bots is pretty much a computer player doing its own thing. The reason why I want to learn to make these in game bots is because battlenet just will not play well on my computer, and there is no sign in the near future of a new computer. So, have you played an anime arena or angel arena where the computers actually played the game? Like picked up items, used skills, and tried to run away when they start to get their butt kicked? I have. What I just explained is an example. Now, have you played dark deeds? I pretty much made my own version of that game. But I cannot play with anyone, and the computers just sit there staring into space.:banghead: I want them to build the appropiate buildings and have children and try to make their little coleny successful. Or, stealthy try to stalk and kill their prey when they are chosen to be the vampire or werewolf.:nuts:

So I hope this was a good decription of what I am trying to do. If you haven't played any of the games I have mentioned then I hope at least you know what I'm talking about.

So now, what I asked to whomever may respond. Do I use JASS? Does anyone have examples I may use? Thats what I really want, examples. I'm trying to learn JASS, but I guess you could say my brain is having a hard time understanding. Any and all help will be appriciated. Hope I followed the rules ha.

Well you can play another way with other people!
If you download the Program Garena, you are able, to play local with other people.
Its no big deal. The bots is kinda a hard bunch of work

I would still like to make bots though to vs against, I constantly have internet issues.
Also other games to make that need them. This thread is still open for any ideas or tips.

Im sorry to tell you if you wants bot to work in your custom map you have to manually trigger everything they have to do when they have to. I'm sure there was an AI contest in these forums, i don't really know if it was archived or what

Well thanks. It kinda opened my eyes a little bit. I'm just going to have to mess around with it. Could get messy
