Everytime i try to change the range one one of my towers it doesnt work, i put in 1000 and it comes out with 600 and i put in 2000 once and it made it 1200... anyone help???
Perhaps you need to change the Aquisition Range to the amount you want your unit/tower to start attacking. If the unit is out of range, but in the Aquisition range, the unit will run to engage the foe.
So if you ever increase the range of a unit, increase the Aquisition range appropriatly too.
Then you still need to increase the Aquisition range. The unit won't attack unit the unit is within the set aquiration range. Even if your tower's range is 2000 for example, it will not attack because for example (A little short story )
There once was a commander, a genius sort. He build a tower on top of a hill. The tower can shoot a range of 2000. But, the commander will wait until they are within Aquisition range, so they won't be able to hide in the forest just 1800 range away. In the end, the commander one the battle because he has the Aquisition range just right. Not too hot, and not too cold. It's god damn goldy-locks all over again.
So you always need to set both range and Aquisition range to increase the range a unit/structure can attack.
in combat- (in obect editor (unit)) on above the range (not directly) theres is something called aqusation range, i dont really understand what it does but i do understand that it fixed my problem
