Hello, I'm currently in much need of a new model for my map since none of the defualt WC models work. This is for my new RPG which features a lot of pirates and I need a better pirate model.

If possible, I would really like to get ahold of a model that fits or is similar to the follwoing description:

Basic Idea: Buccaneer, Rebel Pirate
Basic description:
A humanoid model with any kind of sword, prefferably a rapier or shortsword. Has a triangular pirate hat, a leather coat, boots, and soem other minor accessories. Kind of like Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Carribean movie)
Main colors:
Mostly blended, bland dark colors. Brown, grey, black...
Animations:
Similar to Admiral Proudmoore.

I've checked Hiveworkshop (WC3sear.ch) and other places. Cannot find anything.

Anyone who can get me a usable model will get special credit in my map and free "secret" load codes for the map. Also some additional +rep.

Ok... Ive tested those skins and heres my conclusion.

Well, first off, romek, I can't use Admiral Proudmoore becuase i'm using that for something else already.

Second, Goblinman007, the 1st skin isn't what I'm looking for at all, however if nothing else works ill use the Sparrow one, although I really don't want to use it becuase then I'll have two almost identacle pirates with the same animations and stuff.

I'm still looking for a new model (description above) If anyone can get me this it would be GREATLY appreciated. Any more suggestions or questions, please post them. Thank you.

Any bored modelers out there? I really need this model... There will be rewards such as free stuff in the game when it's done, special credit, and +rep.

I wish we had more model helpers but that is not this sites strong point unfortunately :mad:

Try asking at The Hive (see affiliate link on sidebar) who are cool or wc3campaigns.net but be careful of the flames there.

Alright, thanks. I think I'm just going to use the Proudmoore skin from near the top of the thread, I'll make a clone model of Proudmoore and I guess I'll have two similar models, but oh well.

The problem still exists, incase any modeler out there finds this. But if not, I should be ok.

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
