Setting move speed past 522

Is it possible to have the top move speed of a unit go past 522? I've tried to do this in gameplay constants but I can't seem to set it past 522. Do I need WEU for something like this?

I don't think it's possible, period.
Unless you use triggers to move the unit, which is kind of ugly....

I've heard that WEU can allow certain variables like the speed of units to increase above their normal limits.

Also, I've never tried it myself, but I you have JASS newgen editor, you can enable an "unlimited mode", by going to Grimiore > Enable unlimited mode. Try that.

Well, even the regular editor will let you set the number higher by Shift-Clicking the field, but it doesn't actually do anything.

I once spent a whole 50 seconds trying to get it to go past 522, but knowing world editor I just gave up as soon as it didnt work the first time... :/

How fast do you need it? :p

Lol.

A substitution for that, is to register when a unit is walking (Issued that order), slide the unit to that area, and play its walk animation. But this will probably apply to all units unless you specify one.

It's really a hassle so I don't suggest it. ;)

You can use a trigger which goes something like this:

Code:
Move Fast
Events:
-Unit begins casting ability
Conditions:
-Ability being cast equal to Move
Actions:
-Order casting unit to move to (Point of Facing(Facing of Casting Unit)) at Speed of (Speed(Casting unit) X ...)

Also, setting the movespeed, somehow, to above 522 can cause your map to become bugged and will not be able to be opened/played.

Maybe it should be possible if you add an boots of speed without icon?

I don't know, probably it doesn't if nobody of the other users have wrote it here.

Should be worth a try though...

That might work, but I think it limits that too. :p I remember getting like 6 boots of speed and it stopped working after I had like 4 of them or something.

Oh, I just realised another way...

> Make an dummy for Neutral Passive
> Give it an ability based on Bloodlust
> Edit Bloodlust so that there are no effects, sounds etc.
> Give it a 99999999 cast range
> Give it a 200% speed increment
> Make sure the unit has 522 movespeed
> Make the dummy cast "Bloodlust" constantly
> The unit should be going at a movespeed of 1044

Limit is 522. You can't have a ms greater than 522.

You are very sure of yourslf, aren't you?

well, being honest, if 522 is the max, it's the max isn't it, do what chocobo said, scale everything down and then zoom the camera in, make people think they're still on a normal sized map but the units go faster.
