Setting Passive Ability on CD

Is there anyway to set a passive ability on CD or to at least show that its on CD?

Go on object editor and set it. Search for cooldown.

You can only do that for skills like Orb of Lightning (new). And it would be modified under the active skill's cooldown, not the passive one's.

Ahh.. I guess I should explain this a bit

I have a customly made passive ability that works like the Linken Sphere in Dota. Basically my passive ability blocks a spell every 10 seconds. I need it to show that its on CD after it's been activated.

Is there a way to force set an ability's cooldown? Is there also a way to check if an ability is under cooldown?

the thing is.. it needs to be customized by trigger, because all the spells intaken are handled by the trigger customly.

Theres the item spell, talisman of something...
he blocks a spell every X seconds.

Reincarnation is a passive which shows cooldown.

You'll have a hell of a time triggering it to hide the actual reincarnation though

PRECISELY WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR.. well, at least the part where the CD is set manually to show..

Do you know how he might've done it? or is there a sample code for it?

Well, as long as I can find out a way to set a CD manually, I can cook up some triggers to manage, but that Orb of lightning + Searing arrow

The Nerubian weaver's ability in Dota uses Orb of Lightning with some Effect Ability that can be set on cooldown. I don't think it's searing arrow, because that would not set any cooldown. If you want to trigger the ability, Channel flagged with visible is the obvious choice.

Orb of Lightning has a field called Data - Effect Ability. Whenever a unit with Orb of Lightning attacks another unit, the Effect Ability is cast on the target unit, and the Effect Ability is set on cooldown. Since the Effect Ability can not be actively cast, it will look like it's a passive ability being set on cooldown. You can however, not set the Effect Ability on cooldown manually with a trigger, unless you trigger the unit to actually attack another unit.

Create your spell based Reincarnation.
Data - Reincarnation Delay : 0
Stats - Casting Time : 0
Stats - Cooldown: Whatever you want.

Of course you will have hard time to get this working. First:

You can't detect the spell is in cooldown or not. You have to make timers that will check it.

When the spell is not in the cooldown, you must kill this unit with triggers to show the cooldown.

If you kill this unit, it's mana and hp will be full, so before killing it, store it and then change.

And I can't find a solution for this one:
This unit will be immortal. Even dies with normal ways. Always it will ressurect with 1 hp.
