Simple Charge

Heya all! Im looking for a simple Charge spell, no knockbacks, no damaging units along the way, just a plain ... "WoW" Warrior Charge.

Thanks in advance :)

EDIT: Also has to be usable as a Automatic spell! (automatic charge)
 
Umm... stun the target, increase the caster's speed, give it over to an unused computer while retaining the same color, order it to attack the target, un-stun the target, then give the caster back to the original player.
 
Seems like you could also just clear the selection when the ability is cast, and keep clearing it until the ability is over.

Then automatically select the unit when the ability is done, so the poor bastard doesn't need to find the unit after casting the ability.
 
if you haven't made the charge spell your self I've made it for you, because it thought it would be fun ^^

Trigger:
  • charge
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
    • Conditions
      • (Ability being cast) Equal to charge
    • Actions
      • Set caster = (Triggering unit)
      • Set target = (Target unit of ability being cast)
      • Set dmg = (50.00 + (Real((Level of (Ability being cast) for caster)))) <b>(change this if you don&#039;t want the spell to have levels, or dmg doesn&#039;t suit you. )</b>
      • Unit - Set caster movement speed to 522.00
      • Selection - Remove caster from selection
      • Unit - Order caster to Attack target
      • Unit - Pause target
      • Trigger - Turn on charge check &lt;gen&gt;

Trigger:
  • charge check
    • Events
      • Time - Every 0.03 seconds of game time
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Set caster_point = (Position of caster)
      • Set target_point = (Position of target)
      • Selection - Remove caster from selection
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • (Distance between caster_point and target_point) Less than or equal to 200.00
        • Then - Actions
          • Unit - Unpause target
          • Unit - Cause caster to damage target, dealing dmg damage of attack type Normal and damage type Normal
          • Unit - Set caster movement speed to (Default movement speed of caster)
          • Selection - Select caster for (Owner of caster)
          • Floating Text - Create floating text that reads (String(dmg)) at target_point with Z offset 100.00, using font size 10.00, color (100.00%, 100.00%, 100.00%), and 0.00% transparency
          • Floating Text - Change the lifespan of (Last created floating text) to 2.00 seconds
          • Floating Text - Change the fading age of (Last created floating text) to 1.00 seconds
          • Floating Text - Change (Last created floating text): Disable permanence
          • Trigger - Turn off (This trigger)
        • Else - Actions
      • Custom script: call RemoveLocation(udg_caster_point)
      • Custom script: call RemoveLocation(udg_target_point)


it's not Mui and its not perfect but here it is^^
 
You order the unit to attack the target....you pause the target...not the unit....or does that not work?
 
I pause the target yes, it doesn't affect the caster. So it does work, Also if this is used by anyone, don't forget to change maximum movements speed to 522 in the gameplay constants.
 
What spell should I use as base for this?

3. erm... u can use channel... or...well, thats the easiest one :D otherwise you could use storm hammer with 100 range, or any other unit-targeted spell wich you can modify so it has no effect. but channel is my call

    I have converted the Headline News forum to an Article type forum. It will now show the top 20 threads with more detail of each thread.

    I do not see a way to go past the 1st page of posts on the forum though

    It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while

    Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the pagination.

    I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"
