Sliding - The Secret Exposed

Doesn't sliding LOOK like your actually sliding? Well, its just a simple illusion of moving REALLY fast. The speed of the sliding can be increased by raising the offset or lowering the periodic second. It could also be decreased by lowering the offset and raising the periodic second. If you think about the trigger, it seems really easy. No need to beg for the trigger and be a lazy ass like me.

You need 2 variables:​

Point ----------- Point ----------- Default
Group ---------- Unit Group ------ Default


THIS IS THE TRIGGER FOR SLIDING!

Events
Time - Every 0.03 seconds of game time
Conditions
Actions
Set group = (Units in (Playable map area) matching ((Owner of (Matching Unit)) Not equal to Player 12 (Brown))
Unit Group - Pick Every Unit in group and do (Actions)

Loop - Actions
Set point = (Position of (Picked Unit))

If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)

If - Conditions

(Terrain type at point) Equal to *Icecrown Glacier - Ice​

Then - Actions

Unit - Move (Picked Unit) insantly to (point offset by 9.00 towards (Facing of (Picked Unit)) degrees)​

Else - Actions

Custom script: call RemoveLocation(udg_point)
Custom script: call DestroyGroup(udg_group)​

I criticize the fact that you simply give a trigger, you don't explain each actions. That post is not a tut...

If these actions belong to the "Else" statement, this trigger is wrong and leaking. It should be at the end of the trigger, not at the "Else - Actions"

It doesnt explain how sliding works, nor does it have a decent trigger for it. You dont clean up any variables properly, and the move unit action doesnt even have its point set as a variable. Thats like, sad.
