Yes it can.

Lets say you based your dummy ability off storm bolt. Just do this:

Code:
Order (Last created unit) to Human Mountain King - Storm Bolt (Target unit of ability being cast)

Yes, even though your spell is custom, that will still cast it. Set the ability you order it to cast to be the spell that your custom ability was based off.

I just thought of a thing, what if one has multiple custom spells based on, say Storm Bolt?

They will all work. That's assuming the dummy doesn't have all of them at the same time, in which case it wouldn't work whether it was a dummy or not.

Only place 1 ability with the specific ability ID at a time. Meaning:

Only have one Storm Bolt, 1 Blizzard, 1 Avatar ID ability on the dummy unit at a time.

Use the "Add - Ability" & "Remove - Ability" and cast the 'Mountain King - Storm bolt' when you have the correct spell on that the dummy unit you wish to cast, with the correct ID (storm bolt).

I think what he ment is, that thread is about how people write titles. Meaning, he wrote in the title field: 'Small question' instead of writing a topic that was fitted for the question.

Which could have been something like: 'Dummys can cast spells?'
Or anything, what ever. :D

Can a dummy cast custom made spells?. And if its true how:D?

I think i didn't explained pretty well : How can i make the dummy cast a custom made spell (let's say i copy/pasted a spell and edited it, changed its name, blah blah, etc.). I know how to make the dummy cast only preset spells (the standard spells), but I don't know how to make it cast one of my spells...is it possible?

L.E.:Srry about the thread name, I will keep in mind next time.

That is just what it does when you do as we've told you... It casts your custom spell instead.

you order the dummy to cast the spell you based it from...

so if you have a spell based of storm bolt, you order him to "Human Mountain King - Storm bolt w/e..." and it will work just fine

LuckyStrike, instead of just asking the same question over and over (you seem really confused about this), why don't you just go ahead and try it in the Editor yourself? So you can see how it works...

You will never find your custom spell listed in the "Unit - Issue Order X" because those spells are just the hard coded spells. When you create a custom spell you're basing it off a an already existing spells.

Example:

I create a custom ability based off of Slow (Human Sorceress) and I'm going to call it "Time Warp" now when I give this ability (Time Warp) to my dummy unit when I then order that dummy unit to cast my custom ability I choose the action

Unit - Order (Last created unit) to Human Sorceress - Slow ((Target Unit) of ability being cast))
... and then the dummy unit will cast my custom Time Warp spell.

2.-I rename it to MostAwesomeAbilityEver
3.-Now it deals 99999 dmg (who cares)
4.-Go to my trigger editor
5.-Create a trigger where
Event
A unit is attacked
Conditions
Random number between 1 and 100 less than 16
Actions
Create 1 dummy at position of attacked unit
Add MostAwesomeAbilityEver to last created unit
Order Last created unit to Orc - Chain Lightning Attaking unit
6.- OMFG the ability casted was the one i created!!

The dummy interprets the ordered ability as the one i modified.
Good luck

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
