when I try to play/run/test my map, a wierd error pops up:

war3

This application has encountered a critical error:

FATAL ERROR!

Program: d:\program files\warcraft iii\War3.exe
Exception: 0xc0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATOIN) at 001B:6F2DFEB2

The instruction at '0x6F2DFEB2' referenced memory at '0x0000000C'.
The memory could not be 'read'.

Press OK to terminate the application.

This is using Windows XP. The loading screen works fine, but just as the load finishes and game's supposed to start up, Warcraft III closes, and that error pops up. I did no hacking of the editor other than altering the .mpq file to make a big map. Also, I copied this map onto a different computer to see if I could test it, and the same error comes up on that computer. My map worked fine before; this error suddenly appeared and prevents any attempt to run the map.

okay, never mind, I troubleshooted this, and it turns out that the problem was caused by setting the pathing maps for several neutral passive buildings as "None".

yeah that's a known bug actually (as in blizz knows about it)

edit: 99.9% of the time a 'memory cannot be read' error is caused by the map and has nothing to do with the OS or any hardware.
