That terrain looks pretty good for a first. Try to add some custom models and try not to add too many doodads.

@2-P: Now choyvnz is back. I saw him a lot in the JASS Help forum. So hopefully he'll see this thread and terrain a bit again... xD

Its good but you didnt mass doodads right. I keep one focus and add masses of small doodads for details.

I started with this map earlier, and i need a few ideas; I've decided to build a temple of some kind on the top of the cliff, but i don't know what to add beneath it, any ideas?

Gmax is free. 3ds studios max costs a ton of money. Milkshape costs about 25 bucks but is extremely good and extremely easy.

Hmm, yeah a river might be a nice touch.
But i'll wait with guards and units until the whole temple and surrounding area is complete.

Ok, can someone give off some tips for elven cities? Please, don't take me as noob, I have pretty much experience in terraining, I'm just out of ideas. I haven't started yet the city, but I need some strong ideas before doing this.
