Fuck yeah. It's a hunting trap.

Mesh, animations and unwrap made from scratch in 3D Studio Max 5 with Blizzard Art Tools.
Texture made from scratch in Adobe Photoshop CS.
I started working on the model April 2nd 2009. I finished the model April 4th 2009.

The texture isn't very visible ingame, so if anyone wants to make a better one, tell me! :) (I can't make one myself, the texture is very old and I don't got PS anymore)

I like it. It could be really useful for some hunter trap spell..

But it really needs a nice texture. I can try to make one.

Okay, great. You'll probably want to take a look at the already existing texture first, so you can see how you'd design it.

Actually it's just a 256x256 image with an image of some metal on it, but take a look :)

I think it doesn't have a warcraft-ish feeling for me and It looks really modern. Maybe you could add some sides darker or lighter colour to make it look nicer.

Maybe that's because it's kinda high-poly for Warcraft. (Well it got 500 polys, I guess that's normally very low-poly but for such a small thing in Warcraft it's high)

I checked it already.

I think you could improve some animations.

I mean traps like this have both jaws against the ground while waiting for prey. Your trap has other jaw pointing towards the sky, which looks lil weird.

edit. and yea, i think you could try to reduce poly count a bit.

I just happend to have a metal texture laying around, that i'm not using.

feel free to put that in the package free-of-charge and credits. Since i'm not using it anyway. So if you like it, it's all urs (attached)

Define 'improve'.
It's not a bear trap, it's a hunting trap.

EDIT: lindenkron: I checked it out, it looks good but it doesn't really fit the trap type, that's more like an asphalt-metal texture thingy.
