What's wrong with this devour trigger?

Event:
   Red types a chat message containing -devour As an exact match
Conditions:
Actions:
   Wait 2 seconds.
   Create 1 Abomination for player 11 at possition of PlayerUnitArray(1)
   Wait 1 second.
   Order (Last created unit) to Orc-Kodo Devour PlayerUnitArray(1)

Everything with the devour spell works fine. If I give myself an abomination I can use the devour spell on any enemy. It is also using the Original Kodo Beast devour spell.

Try to set the unit to a variable because after "Wait 1 second" there could have spawned 1 more and then last created unit will be overwritten.
And by the way, which unit is PlayerUnitArray[1] ?

the (Last Created Unit) is probably lost during the wait, so either delete that, or if it's extremely important, give the devour ability 1 second casting time, rather than the wait.

EDIT: or of course, use a variable

Alright. The UnitArray[1] is a worker spawned when the map opens. He will be set to nothing else and the last created unit is not lost for in these tests nothing is really happening, I'm just playing with abilities.

I don't have the Kodo Devour cargo hold, but I don't think that matters since I can use the ability fine, just not with this trigger.

Edit: Let me play around and see if I can get you some more info. I'll also remove the wait time from the spawn to the devour.

It has no order strings by default. Where would I place it?

Order String- Activate
Order String- Deactivate
Order String- Turn off
Order String- Use/Turn on


Okay, I got it working. Seems I had to crank up the acquisition range.
