Recently, I've had a little trouble with having two installations of StarCraft II (NA and EU versions namely).
The game installs fine, but won't patch correctly.
Well, here's how to fix all of your troubles!
Installing the games comes first. When you install the game, install them to StarCraft II - <REALM>. I installed mine to StarCraft II - NA and StarCraft II - EU.
Fully patch the first installation before installing the second.
After the second installation, patch as much as you can.
Soon, you should run into an error saying:
"This update requires the "North American English" version of this software. Currently the "European English" version is installed."
The way to fix this is to go into your Variables.txt (located in X:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\StarCraft II\).
The path will be the same for both installations.
Open the file and find enGB and change both instances to enUS.
Patch.
Bingo! It's done. Now you can change it back to enGB or leave it as enUS. Either way, it doesn't matter (as far as I know).
You can now fire up either realm version with their respective shortcuts.
I chose to rename my shortcuts to StarCraft II - NA and StarCraft II - EU for ease.
Example:
Ignore the batch file and the duplicate Variables.txt
It's a simple batch file to switch between the two (in the case that I need to, which I haven't run into yet.). If there is a need, I'll try to remember to put something here.
