another idea

nother idea came up....

Ok you know how lots of people have like, how to say this?, oh i got it, first person cameras with first first cinmatics and stuff. Well at the begining i will have like a dialog box come up asking what side to choose, human or orc, and then after that i would have a short by memery ingraving cinmatic that like describes who you are in the land and what your dream is, becoming an advisor to the king/ lord, and then have it so you have to gain 5 levels and then (toke this from Rose Online) you choose your class, but have to complete a quest to become that kind of hero.

So the summary....
-Begin dialog to see what side to join (or if your loading)
-Cinmatic showing who and what you wanna become
-Level training to level 5, then choosing class
-complete class quest and becoming a member of that class.

I told you, I can't STRETCH IT!

But, I did have the same idea. The barrel is quite a bit thinner

(Currently finding a way to give him oober camoflage tint)

Rinpun: I have a skin that i found in one of my folders from an earlier map and i think this is what i meant by camo like.

Alright, everything works except the rifle.

Notes:

1) It won't alpha the rifle correctly--the rifleman wasn't skinned to do so and it will be wide no matter what.

2) Cape can't be alphaed off or made darker (well maybe I can make it darker--I'll try that), so players like red or blue will have a marksman that REALLY sticks out. At the moment, he's best done with dark green.

Hmm, that doesn't look Marksmanish and yet it looks good. Mine's simply an extension of the Rifleman with not as many changes.

k good cause the maps are limited to like 5 mb i think (which i hate, but i know its there for a good cause) and i need all the space i can get, cause im planning to have this be a HUGE rpg

Another Idea

Its kinda like what WOW has. The Professions and the Skills and stuff. Like each class has its very own combaination of professions. Like the hunter and marksman have skinning and leatherworking. and the Magic people have Enchanting and what ever fits them like Tailoring and stuff. Or i could have it so people can choose their own professions by going to the trainers like in WOW.

Yea, skins aren't too costworthy. Just don't do custom models. Why? Because some people get lazy, such as with the ElfBladeMaster dude who takes TWO large skins--Arthas AND a custom one. This makes him about 300-400 KB, which is huge by graphic standard.

By the way, should I try basing the skin off the one you just gave me? I think it'd be better in a few standards...mainly because I can't do fur for my life

I can work on some small custom icons if you plan to go into leatherworking and stuff like that.

With the professtions and stuff well i think i will do that later on in the week, next week since today is sunday, cause im working on the save n load code now.

People keep saying my name...its confusing me.

I like the little castle, seems like a nice size area to start the rpg and looks big enough to support what you need (shops, secrets etc.).

wc3search has some really nice models (including the samurai guy in TOB, good for your swordsman).

So does everyone fight together like a team, and then every once in a while the party just starts attacking one another (random skirmishes you were talking about)? I like the idea of two parties, one for each team. And after each fight between them, the losing side would be compensated to make it more fair next time.
