I want to be able to change the max amount of heros a player can have from 3 to 5.

Currently a player can only have 3 heros - how can I change it to 5 ?
I looked around in the world editor but couldn't find the setting.

Em i'm not sure but in a custom map u can have more than 3 heros. if your map is a melee map then I think u have to go to Advanced > game play constants

Half correct. Melee map is not a melee map if ANYTHING is edited, it can only have custom terrain, melee map triggers, and start locations. And player options ofcourse ^^. But they cannot have edited gameplay constants. Scenario maps have a trigger that can set the hero limit.

Trigger:
  • Player - Limit training of Heroes to 5 for Player 1 (Red)

Well I have edited enough to turn off the "melee map thing - but where is it in the game play constants ? I looked through them and I don't see it.

anyways, i couldn't find it in the gameplay constants either so I guess u have to use the trigger? but u know I thought u can get more than 3 heros in all custom maps

pretty much all custom maps use triggers...that's pretty much the point of making a custom map so you can use triggers to do things you normally can't do. anyway, most custom maps you get 1 hero, sometimes up to 3...

incidently i don't think there's anything wrong with giving a player more heroes...at any rate you might need to adjust tier levels and stuff too if you're getting heroes the mostly normal way. so add like 2 more tiers i guess. maybe make the tier 4 and 5 buildings look like the tier 3 building but with modified colors or something like that.

but yeah, trigger editor and object editor are used the most in custom maps i think. terrain editor maybe used a lot too...but that doesn't necessarily make it custom, what you're doing in the terrain.

The thing is most things I do in world editor don't really need very many triggers - if any at all. There has got to be some setting somewhere in the editor that caps you at 3 heros - I just need to find it.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
