I don't see it as downgrading, but maybe it's from a male perspective, but if they have what some one wants, and are willing to do it for a fee, then why is this different then say, a handyman? or a roofer. Who offers his services for money as well. Prostitution used to be a... I don't want to say respected profession, but it was defiantly and acceptable one back in the day. Even today though it's still regarded as a good paying job in some parts of Europe.

as Tru power said, over here in Germany and Amsterdam and anywhere (as far as i know) where it's legal, the girls are required to get tested once a month to keep their (for lack of better terms) whoring license.

    We have some elderly guests that regularly come hang out at the bar at the end of the night, and every once in a while we don't see someone for a few weeks and then someone shows up with their obituary.

    So I decided to Google some people that I had not seen or heard from in a while and sure enough one of my old best friends, we had a falling out years ago but whatever, find out he died of Pancreatic Cancer in January. I have also lost a few of my closer acquaintances from growing up the last year. Getting old - people die - I kinda thought it was going to be this way a few years ago....
