Thanks for all your support guys! I would like to announce the grand opening of our 14th skyscaper located conveniently behind downtown where you can barely see it :) Also, as mentioned by Cilla we have passed the 5000 mark in population. We are also getting the most clicks we have ever gotten with 1500 clicks today.

Ace says we get our first skyscraper at around 12k population so if we go we like we are (about +700 pop a day) we will get that in 10 days.
 
I thought commercials can bring in skyscrapers. Either that, or I go back to adding pops to it.

If you look at the Daily History Section you can see where I finally fixed my messup with French city and our city. We have a pretty big French city

No, that means that we are now getting the full force of my efforts at the real city. For a while there, I did not know I was accidently building the French City instead of our City. I made a mistake.

I never wanted a French City, I made it by mistake. Now I have fixed that mistake - we still have the French City (you can't delete them) but I am not going to do anything with it and everything should be all good.
 
OK, if we get our first Superskycraper at 12000 pop how comes these guys get theres at where we are about to pass them in the ranks - what the heck do they got that we dont. We are ahead of them in about everything except for population and we will be ahead of them there probably in a couple of hours.

It's all about the name of your city. This parameter acts as random seed for all the other parameters and how every population point is placed on the map, somewhat like a game of life.

Try some other names and you'll see that you're getting these supa-cool skyscrapers as early as 8000 population or even 6500.

Think of it as "luck". Or just take the system apart before you create your city.

That is some great inside info that I have not read anywhere else. I guess you can deduce that from the City thing Ace did. Cool info, I am going to add it to the FAQ - eventually.

In the ""The Helper Town" link above, right beside the User CP and in yellow, can there be links for the population, commercial, industry, transport, and environment?

    Or even third party. Like if you don't have an original one in a functional condition, you cannot play this game properly. Like yeah the keyboard mods exist, but I think those are BARELY functional

    And since almost all of my programming experience is with defunct shit now, I figure my best place is helping preserve legacy stuff. Which I don't know how to do necessarily, but I need some kind of a hobby and figuring out how older things worked is the only shit that really interests me. Well soldering and restoration is fun too, but no one is bringing me new stuff to fix and restore, so it's mostly old shit, and I LOVE OG Xbox so much. I want to make sure it can function as long as possible, until someone can effectively emulate it at least. I have like 15 I was going to fix over the winter and didn't get to.

    Yeah Tom, me too sorry for your loss buddy my mom told me she finds out her olds friend died from Google searching them. She had not talked to one of her old friends in a year and found out she died from Google. Also another one in the same session. RIP all of them my sincere condolences Tom

    We have some elderly guests that regularly come hang out at the bar at the end of the night, and every once in a while we don't see someone for a few weeks and then someone shows up with their obituary.

    We usually let them do their memorials there in the morning if they want to and I'll make them some snacks and drinks. There was one guy named Tom that came in like every night and would sit by himself and get a bunch of soup and a glass of wine. idk why but he LOVED our fucking soup, like he would order a fucking quart of it at a time and would always get so sad when we stop doing it for the summer.

    So I decided to Google some people that I had not seen or heard from in a while and sure enough one of my old best friends, we had a falling out years ago but whatever, find out he died of Pancreatic Cancer in January. I have also lost a few of my closer acquaintances from growing up the last year. Getting old - people die - I kinda thought it was going to be this way a few years ago....
