Need System Ideas!

Hey everyone , i'm bored at the moment and i want to do some coding. But i have no idea what system i should make.

If you want a system made or just have a cool idea , Tell me and i might make it.

By a "cool idea" I figure you mean some trigger, so maybe you can help me with an idea I thought of today:

An ability via triggers that causes the ground to ripple outwards in the targeted direction like a wave, tossing enemies in the air (but not making them invulnerable while in the air), and when they land they are damaged and their movement and attack speed is slowed for a moderate duration. I was thinking of like, an Earthquake type looking ripple effect, maybe more extreme ripple wise. Thanks :thup:

No Spells. Just a system. I Will code it in vJASS , BTW.

Currently i'm working on a save/load system , i will submit once im done.

How about a "Curved lightning" system using small bits of lightning to make it feel curved?With a start XYZ,end XYZ max height etc. ;) I tried once.Epic fail.

Im not sure if it's a system, but how about this: a system where if the model size (scaling) is big, make the units it attacks fly through the air.

I'm horrible with math , so....

Nothing math heavy , like undaddy mentioned. I'm not asking for easy systems , just nothing that involves alot of math :)

Here are some ideas,hope you will like them:

1) Make an equipment system,when hero reaches item,it will carry that item in his main hand,left or right hand,or when carry-ing helmet it will have helmet on his head.

2) Selectable Multiboard : By clicking icons of your hero on multiboard,you can gain additional attribute points and some advanced upgrades.

3) Punch Of Dead (Ability) : When hero punches 1 unit,it deals 2x of your total damage,and punches all nearby units around targeted one for X of radius.

4) Jumping Strike: When Hero Jumps,he will cast Bladestorm in air,dealing damage to air units for X amount and X seconds.

5) If your hero has more armor,reduce his movement speed,and if it has better item,reduce it's attack speed.


Hope you like ideas.

1) Do not need a system for this , just add an ability to an item with the effect attached. Read this

2) Impossible to click icons , unless you use advanced trackables.

3) System , not spell.

4) System??

5)I guess..

I guess not many people need systems lol.........

I actually was wondering about a system (maybe its a system) involving a multiboard, where the players name would flash red when the unit is in combat, like what Jooster said sort of.

A abilities item based system?

Like invx but it can be like this:

SP1 SP2
SP3 SP4
CL NP

sp = spell cl = close np = spell

You have to learn the spells on trainers or maybe by yourself.
In the system the spells will have charges that will show you the amount of time that the spell can be used after resting (like baldurs gate!) or simply use charges to show the spell lvl, maybe you can have a commands book in your unit to manipulate better the items.

I think that is more nice this that the spellbook that takes away your key comands, and closes when clicking another unit.

TriggerHappy, I would also really like to see an combat system (similar to the one in WoW). Maybe, have some food items which you can't use in combat, and some spells like charge which you can't use in combat either. Also, turn off health regen in combat etc. I think it could be a really cool system and I have never seen it be done either =)

yea leazy you get the gist of what im saying. if there were a combat detection system. im sure that would make alot of peoples lifes alot easier. for instance. when one of my boss's kills all the units around him and goes back to his spawn location i wanted him to go back to full health. i want some items to not be useable in combat ect ect. its just a pain to make a timer for every little thing.
