Indeed I have, it's been like that for a week or so now. (Since I started getting back into mapping) I may wind up having to reinstall wc3 to see if that fixes the problem but I figured I'd give the community a shot for solutions first.
Not sure if this is what you want but couldn't you just set a trigger to detect when your hero does the action you want to give it experience for and do a Hero - add experience action to whatever value you want?
Well, by model file I meant they couldn't even be used as a doodad. And it's the 'standard' non-imported ones that are giving me grief, my imported ones work fine. Here's a screenshot illustrating what I mean.
So, here's my problem:
For some reason in the world editor object editor some of the models are missing skins. They work when I use the default but when I go to art-Model File and try to scroll through them, doodads in particular it shows up as a white, unskinned model. (Yes, they stay this way...
I thought about that, but that would look unnatural. I mean is there some way of just stopping them from moving there to begin with?
Edit:
Did you ever find a solution?
Import the Model only, not the readme, then restart the map editor. Those other paths that were on the site are just listing the used in-game textures, and for your purposes that is irrelevant. Also, while it is not necessary, I'd also change get rid of the war3mapImported in the paths as it...
I'm making a map and implementing the height adjustment cliff method. Problem is that I want the cliffs to be unwalkable. While I could just go in and put ground pathing blockers along the whole thing, that would take up a lot of doodads seeing as how there are a lot of cliffs in my map. So what...
I haven't done any mapping for a while and just recently started again. While looking for custom models, skins etc. for my latest map, I came to find that wc3sear.ch isn't there anymore and that it is now hiveworkshop.com. While that is all fine and dandy, the new site doesn't have the models...
Ok, this may not be "Doable" but I figured it wouldnt hurt to ask.
How would I make a Heads Up Display, like you see in most First person shooters? Such as having health/shield bars in the upper right hand corner of the screen, ammo counters, energy etc.?

Okay, is there a way to for example have a machine gun turret and have it so that it does not move until you press the arrow keys. Like say you press the left key, the turret rotates left right -> right etc. but what im saying is not have it
I'm good with Maya 6.0 and have been modeling with it etc. And I wanted to know if there was any way to export to warcraft type files directly instead of having to get it to 3ds max and then warcraft.
