Ability/Heroes Ideas Needed

it would depend on the map type, but... this is mostly an idea for an aos type ability but meh..

Ability name:Spirit of the Necromancer
Hero: Dark Mage
Ability type: passive-ish?
Ultimate: yes? dunno
Ability Description: The Dark Mage is so adept at assisting others at cheating their deaths that he is able to do it himself. When he dies, he becomes a Necromancer's Ghost until resurrected, unable to attack or be killed, but able to raise the dead(higher level of raise dead, higher mana pool depending on the level of spell).
Based on: any passive spell + triggers.. i can whip up the trigger/s but won't do it unless you ask.. too much effort to go through if you dont want it :p


and heres another
Ability name: Skill Snatch
Hero: Shadow Stalker
Ability type: Active, single target.
Ultimate: no
Ability Description: Silences the target, and changes the "Skill Snatch" ability into the target's first slot ability. When the snatched ability is used, it turns back into "Skill Snatch"
Based on: uhmm...is there any single-target silences? maybe a soul burn with no damage? + trigger/s

And I don't get it on your 2nd ability, "Skill Snatch". Add more description about it.

skill snatch silences the target for a limited amount of time and changes your "skill snatch" ability into the target's first-slot ability until you use it... for example you use it on a blademaster, the blademaster becomes silenced and your "skill snatch" ability becomes "windwalk" instead.. then you use windwalk and it turns back into "skill snatch".. use it on mountain king, you get storm bolt, use it on keeper of the grove, you get entangling roots, that sort of thing.

That's an awesome ability, even though can you post the triggers?

the necro spell will be easier to post the triggers since i already made a similar ability on a map of mine.. the skill snatch ability, though, is just a concept really so not exactly sure how to do it.

here's the necro triggers..
first you would need 3 different "necromancer's ghost" units or whatever you would like to call them.. each having a different mana pool and also probably a different version of Raise Dead.. the Kel'Thuzad ghost model i picked for it..

you would also need a passive skill and set it to do nothing ( i picked unholy aura as i don't like the aura much anyway but i like the art)

you would need these actions in any trigger with the "map initialization" event:

set necroghost[2] = Necromancer's Ghost(level 2)
set necroghost[3] = Necromancer's Ghost(level 3)

then you need this trigger so it knows that the hero has the thingy..

        (Learned Hero Skill) Equal to Horrors from the Grave 
    Actions
Set necroult[player number of (owner of (triggering unit))] = (necroult[player number of (owner of (triggering unit))] + 1)

then you need this last trigger to actually make it..

If - 
necroult[player number of (owner of (triggering unit)] is greater than 1
Then - 
Create 1 necroghost[necroult[player number of (owner of (triggering unit)]] for owner of triggering unit at location of triggering unit.
Set necroghostunit[player number of (owner of (triggering unit))] to (last created unit)
Wait (4 x level of triggering unit) seconds
Unit - Remove necroghostunit[player number of (owner of (triggering unit))] from the game

most of those variables are arrays so that it is right for the right player. hopefully it is fairly easy to figure out what is what. the wait is the same as the wait-time to respawn on my aos map.

wow, looking back at that, it's pretty confusing :s good luck with it.

I'll try it, if works, I'll add that ability to my hero. :D

actually those triggers are unrecognisable from my original triggers because i pretty much had to rewrite them...

the original ones were made when I had just recently discovered a mystical thing called "variables" and before i discovered the even MORE mystical thing called "variable arrays"..

it had like 30 different sets of actions (shudder) 1 for each level of the spell times 1 for each player (10)

eww

just makes me realise how far I've come since i found this site.. though i do know i still have quite a way to go :) ..
i would start trying to puzzle out the triggers for the other spell but it's 20 minutes to 11PM here and my brain switches off in..

Ability name: Thornblade
Hero: Knight
Ability type: Passive
Ultimate: No
Ability Description: Gives the knight a chance to disintegrate the attacked units armor deducting its defense power by the strength of the knight. If the unit's armor is weaken, the knight has a chance to paralyze it dealing tremendous damage to the enemy.
Based on: Hmmm... Never really thought about it.
