I know, I've done that before. I choose variable and I can only select my new "real" variable, that's cool and all, but that variable has no value what so ever. If I try to set it to the same as my integer variable but "set variable", I simply can not, it won't allow me to do so.

Temp_int is an integer variable. Look at the name, he name the 'int' on purpose so that you can recognise.
As for the 500.00 field, you'll need to 'convert integer to real'. It's located at the first few lines of the dropdown list. And then add your Temp_int.
