Best ps3 game?

I really dont want to buy a PS3 game thats bad (if thats possible xD) so. does anyone suggest a PS3 game? The only ps3 game i have is MGS4 (its win) but i want to try other games, my math teacher has little big planet but i dont know if its good or not (ive heard its good, good enough to be the only reason to buy a ps3)

Depends what games you like, for platformer, family friendly, and great fun game, yes littlebigplanet is really good. If you want a really hard somewhat frustrating game its so hard go for Lair. Heavenly Sword is kinda like a combo of dynasty warriors and god of war, it is however a short game so its worth to rent but not buy. I've heard Infamous is really good sandbox type game, but I haven't tried it yet.

I think i played through like the first 4 or 5 campaign sections, it has a nice variety of mini-games. I put like 3-5 hours into that game and i havnt finished yet

The greatest feature of that game was that you could go into perspective and control your projectiles. that was win

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare (If you can play online) is an AWESOME game. Or if you can wait until next month, Call of Duty 6 Modern Warfare 2 (Again, if you can play online, the single player will surly be tedious, though some people do enjoy the storyline.

Do not get Call of Duty 5.. its terrible.

Call of Duty 5 wasn't terrible; it was merely average next to CoD 4, and was still stand out compared to many bland shooters.
Other good shooters for the PS3 are Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2. Both really good shooters, though the first one takes a little while to pull you in. The plot is really good though.
There's also a gun/platform hybrid that happens (at the moment for me, anyway) to be one of the outright best games I've played on the PS3. Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction. The new one, A Crack in Time, is coming out soon but it's part of a trilogy so you should play ToD first.
Another good game is Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Good shooter/action game. The sequel, which has just come out (and I can't play it right now) is one of the highest-rated PS3 games, ever. So go play Uncharted: Among Thieves as well. You can get Drake's Fortune cheaper now I think so if you just want to sample it you can buy that, or rent it.
There are many excellent PS3 games, and many have demos in the store that you can download. I recommend doing that to get a feel for a game.
There's also Bioshock, which apparently is different to the 360 version in some ways (but I don't know what those might be).

Anyways... I dislike PS3 but since you're asking for games anyway, yeah, Wiseman has good games. Uncharted 2 is said to be really good. Call of Duty MW2. Bioshock 2. MAG (according to my friend it's gonna be amazing, like 256 online multiplayer or something).

PSM3 from France gave it a 21/20... lol

It looks awesome though, I really want to try it. Any plans on a PC release for that game?

And yea, that's the game I'd recommend for PS3.

Guitar Hero > Rock Band. I have seen RB fans complaining, quite hypocritically, that Guitar Hero Van Halen did not use the GH5 engine, saying that the old one was outdated. Well, that's a bit rich coming from them when RB has a game once every few years. To be perfectly honest I think Guitar Hero is just better because there are always new features coming with each game, while with RB it's just the bare bones of playing the instruments to songs. Sure, the DLC is better, but the GH song creator is just made of awesome.

I'll be honest, I saw very little difference between RB1 and RB2. The graphical change was almost unnoticeable, there were few new features (except the tour, but when most people play it as a party game it gets largely ignored) and some of the songs were just outright boring. But, it did have (an inaccurately charted) Painkiller.

Also, I prefer to play Guitar to any other instrument on the games, and RB guitar really is craptacular next to GH's. RB does better on Drums only, at least, in my opinion.

trust me, the 360 people have so much stuff to stick up the butts of ps3. I was eating lunch with a few school friends and MOST of them owned a 360, one of them complained about the price (lowered to 299, thank you very much) and. Halo games, halo is just something that sticks it to ps3. ps3 does not have a lot of good FPS games (MGS4 is kinda a FPS, you change into FPS when you try to aim, but the point of the game is to stealth it up [i didnt stealth, i shot those fools with all i had, in stealth ofc]) the ps3 has just better game play quality in whatever it attemps, but it lacks in the wide spectrum of genres.

PS3 lacks in a wide spectrum of genres? Are you mentally incapacitated?
All the exclusives that 360 fans put forward as a reason to buy it are shooters. All of them. Halo, Gears of War, and... actually, those are the only exclusives I've ever heard 360 players nominate. The PS3, on the other hand, has: LittleBigPlanet (platformer); Uncharted 1 and 2 (adventure/shooter); Motorstorm (racing); MGS4 (stealth/shooter); Ratchet and Clank (platformer/shooter/adventure); Killzone 2 (shooter); Wipeout HD (racing).
And come to think of it, the original Halo and Gears of War games are also on PC.

So yeah. PS3 has a wider range of exclusives, and it does them all very well.
