Heres some ideas for this site

Hi all I was thinking of a way for more people to come to this site. You guys should first add a systems section on to your map area, then make a place to where every one can post modles, skins, and icons just like at WC3Sear. It would be a great addtion to the site. Please take to mind my suggestion.

Like wc3sear.ch already says it, there already is such a site. Also, this is a helper site, not a resource site.

If they want to make this site better i think they should do quite a few things.

Stuff

1. Some sort of public notifaction of edited posts (other than "edited by ...") Itialic letter on the thread page with a yellow outline around each edited post would be realy good.

2. In order to attract more users a simple competitive online game could be created, im sure thiers enough knowledege here to create one, Just a simple puzzle game(s) would help.

3. figure out games that most, Spec. members/Mod/Admins know about and create a new help forum for that game/games. Ex: Doom 1-3, Quake 1-3, Castlevanias, Counterstrike, Final Fantasy, Guild Wars, World of Warcraft...

4. Even easier navigation. I my self have no problems naviagting the site, BUT, i have pointed my freinds towards this site many times for help but alas they can't navigate it.

Regarding Models, Skins and Icons.

You see, the hosted maps script alone took about 10 solid evenings of constant work. And still isn't finished. Theres still bugs I fix periodically, and features I add. The work is never done. To do something similar for Models, Skins, and Icons - which our community doesn't really make, would be a huge project. Its in the back of my mind, but not priority. The map server was needed to replace the 'Hosted Maps Thread' - which no one ever really read, and had many limitations.

Also that server is for our community; Last I checked, we have 2 modelers here. Though I try to accomodate the needs of our users, whether or not something is 'reasonable' plays a big factor.

Navigation? Yes, I understand there is still a large bridge between the forums, and the tutorial site. I have some ideas for that; just need time where I'm not working on other things.

I have a really cool script in the making, that will take all tutorials from the repository, and build dynamic tutorial site pages. Tired of waiting for me to code your tutorial on the site? Wait no more. Cuz I won't have to.

well as the other post said, there is already wc3sear.ch and we don't want to become them, also notice this is not a warcraft site, it is a site focused around tech support, however it doesnt seem that way as WC area is most popular.

thats too much to add at one point, we have to let the webmaster forum gain popularity first, otherwise neither of them will be successful.
