How To Integrate RtC With NewGen

The new RtC has been released and works with 1.24c as of the time of this post.

ah btw about that problem^^ Here are my changes to JNGP so the new RtC will work:
Delete your old rtc folder of JNGP and insert a fresh copy of new RtC.
Then replace the content of the file "startwar3.bat" with:

and replace the old RtC part's of the file "wehack.lua" with:

or just use my wehack.lua but it re enables war3err too because i use a new version which works with newest WC3

now enable RtC in JNGP (if it isn't already) and enjoy (you should have RtC in your Warcraft III folder too^^ I don't really know but plugins needs to be placed there (in their directory of course)... maybe rtc.dll is loaded from there too don't know... but it works for me

There's no reason to NOT still work with WC3. It's still a great game. People will still play it. RtC is a great resource for people to make maps for people who still play it. I for one will not completely move to SC2.

I do agree that this will be awesome for the editor and would recomend people to get it but i for one cant wait for the new editor.

I'm baffled as to why RtC causes the screen in-game excluding UI elements to turn completely black.

You can also import rtc\plugins\source\common.j and set the path to Scripts\common.j

Then you don't have to declare them.

I'm moving this thread to the main WE Help forum and sticking it. Seems to be more of a quick guide to get up and running rather that a real full tutorial. But of course it is still useful, so I'll keep it here for a while.

Yep, basically, you can optionally declare it or import the common.j under scripts\common.j.

If you need TESH to highlight it, download:
RtCnatives.j

Place it in jassnewgenpack5d > tesh > includes for it to start highlighting it. (It will probably highlight them blue, but it is useful anyway)

It adds function/endfunction rather than native so that the TESH can properly include the files. (This is just for quick references, so that you don't have to look at the natives to know their parameters) =)
