This is 3d party software that "hacks" into the existing worldeditor to add options. The mechanics used to integrate into an existing program look similar to a virus, as far as antivirus software is concerned. I had the same problem with my Sophos, I couldnt even put the files on my pc, for it kept blocking "exehack.exe" every time. When using this always turn of any antivirus software to prevent problems while using.

Avast has given me minimal issues with it. Only when I scan the folder does it freak out.

I'm using Vista (tried it on XP too), and pretty sure my AVG Anti Virus was fully disabled each time (tried reinstalling too).

Read nearly any post in this forum.
It doesn't contain viruses.
Some virus scanners might think it is because it relies on 'hacking' the world editor.

It's 100% safe.

Anyways I get the error couldent open japi.dll.
So what you are saying is I need to turn off AV and redownload / install everything and it should work fine?

once I open NewGen WE.exe i get :

There's a problem in worldedit.exe and it is shotdown. our excuses for this ...

I don't get it xD

I have this same problem but I realy want to try this newgen thing ... problem is ... I didn't get the explenation :shades:

It may contain data wich are not supported in this version.

continue loading map?

Does this matter?

Do I need to create a new map?

and if I send a map created wtih this to my friend can he play it or does he need newgen to?
