:rolleyes: Y do ur heros have to learn the kick and punch ability (and jump if u have that) they should just start out with those, and then they can learn special abilities based on who they are.

Sorry to be a nay-sayer but won't this game be unplayable if laggy? Either that or the action would be slow-paced.

So many TDs out there...makes me think of what they _should_ be like, and want to make my own.

Dont worry this map wont be that big unless i actually use more then 2 custom models
And if it does lag it will be hard to play cuz game speed is fast because you can do like 10 moves in like 3 seconds

i this game will u walk aorund the the keyboard in like 1st person view or 3rd person view or sumhthing?? if that is wat ur doing that would be a good map i satrted making 1 a few weeks ago and it was fun until my comp got reformatted and i never got 2 put it ofer the net :(

could put the players on a strip of land above chasm or water, with unpathable land around them, instead.

this is a pretty simple idea but
you can make it so like you use the movement keys to move around a little bit... like have a boundary area then make the thing cinematic and make up combination moves and stuff, make a camera to face in like the Street Fighter cameras, and make it so that there are little blockades

(Key Ideas: Left, Right Movement, Jump, Blockades, Attack, cinematic mode)

Heros: you have a big list already! When they are all done we will tell you which others to make!
Spells: this is a fighter....punch, kick, hadouken, dragon punch, .... JUMP...actually, this makes me wonder...how in the heck are you going to do this? What will the interface be?
Arena styles: longer and shorter straight lines? That's about all you can do if you are still planning on making this a 2d fighter, using the 'bright line' of non-boundary land as an arena. Don't worry about the background until you have the gameplay figured out.

So, yeah, what is the interface?

How do you control your guy? This is the interface.

Do you hit hotkeys that cause him to execute moves? Do you go left and right by using the arrow keys, as your poll about control style suggested, or have you switched to using mouse control for movement?

Are you still using a one-dimensional battlefield, like Marvel vs. Capcom, rather than a 2d Battlefield, like Soulcalibur?

You mean 2D as opposed to 3D. 1-dimensional is a line. No width or depth, only length. :p

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
