minimap question.

is it possible to black out the mini map when i run a black mask.
see, I'm running a custom re-terrain on my map and id like the mini map to black out while doing so.

Also, is there any way to refresh the mini map after the terrain triggers are done and the black mask fades away?

Only if you make a custom mini-map i think. ;/ Which has exactly the same terrain with your map and take a picture of it when it has no black mask, then make it .tga and add it to your map.

another question. when using triggers to re terrain. cliffs......is there a way to change cliffs to match the terrain selected. its becoming real problematic for me atm.

Well, since you te-terrain via triggers, you can also reterrain the cliffs, they go together. I didn't get the 12 different terrains thing; is it a campaign? I mean, you can test your map without the black mask. Print screen and edit your photo so that it limits the size to the minimap only. Then convert it in tga and add it in your map. I don't understand the problem.

ok so when i added cliffs to my map via the terrian window. i then went and made re terrain triggers. i used dialog boxes for everyone in the map to vote which terrain they'd like. then i tallied the votes and selected the terrain via the popular vote blah blah blah. but when the re terrain happened i closed the map off with black mask and thats where i ran into problems. the minimap doesn't update to the new terrain. also everywhere there's a cliff. the cliff terrain doesnt change to the corresponding terrain that was selected. ok, so say i had a ashenvale cliffs set on my map. when the terrain is selected via popular vote to change to, let's say umm.... barrens perhaps. the clifs everywhere in the map stay to the ashenvale but everything else such as trees n shit or what have u not all change to barrens. and then yes the minimap doesnt update as well. it's rather quite annoying. if i cant get his fixed im thinking about just scrapping the whole re terrain vote system all together. but i like it and it was a PIA getting it all set up. so id really like to give it 100% to get it working right.
