The woods used to be a peaceful village with some graveyards untill there was an ecllipse by a thick mist, blocking out the sunlight for many days. The following days in the darkness, villagers witnessed living deads walking out of the graves and spirits of the dead wandering the graveyards. Villagers who went deep to explore never returned and a few others were killed in the village by ghastly beings which attacked any human on sight. Messages were sent to the town requesting aid, and the townsfolks gathered some men who were capable of dealing with undeads. By the time these rescuers arrived, most of the villagers were killed and some were lost in the woods while trying to escape. As they went deeper into the woods to track down the source of this haunting, they discovered themselves losing the way they came from. Trapped and outnumbered, they will have to survive and rid of the undeads before all of them get killed.

Gameplay

Leveling Up
Players' Character must level up to be stronger and offensive to achieve their objective more easily.

Human Leveling and Rest In Peace
Humans can gain Experience (XP) and Spirit (SP) by killing undeads or using the Rest In Peace (R.I.P.) ability on a corpse. Rested corpses cannot be raised into an undead. Once enough Experience is gained, the Human Character can gain one level and a new ability.

Undead Leveling and Raise Dead
Undeads can gain Experience (XP) and Spirit (SP) by killing humans (including villagers), using the Raise Dead ability on a corpse. Raised corpses becomes undeads, wandering the woods and attacking any human on sight. The leveling-Undead Character can also gain Experience by staying near to a player controlled Human Character within a 600 range. Each damage the Human Character suffers will give 1 Experience (XP) to the leveling-Undead. The amount of Experience is divided if there is more than one leveling-Undead nearby. Once enough Experience is gained, the Undead Character can gain one level and a new ability.

Character Death
When a Human Character is killed, the game is over for the player of that Character. When an Undead Character is killed, a R.I.P. crucifix is planted onto the ground where it is killed, burning any undeads nearby with holy damage and there is a penalty of waiting time before the Undead Player gets a new random revived undead to continue the game. In addition, the Undead Player suffers a penalty of losing Spirits (SP) and minus one level. For more information on Spirits (SP), refer to the below section: Spirit (SP) and Items.

2nbrgp0.jpg

The Dead Tree stills itself motionlessly in wait for ambush on an unaware human.

Play Style
Due to humans having only one life while the Undead Players can spawn unlimited times, Human Players should play more cautiously while the undead players can afford a more reckless playing style.

Non-Character Death
Non-leveling undeads becomes a corpse when killed and their corpse can be Rested or Raised. They can be raised into an undead repeatedly so long as they are not Rested or finished decay.

Brown Pings on the Map
These Pings of brown circles on the map indicates the location of corpses which can be used to gain Experience (XP) and Spirit (SP). Players can do a quick search at these locations for available corpses.

Pink Dots on the Map
These dots are pinged by pink circles on the map, indicating the location of lost villagers. Villagers can be killed by Undead Players or rescued by Human Players to gain Experience (XP) and Spirit (SP). Corpses of villagers can be further Rested or Raised to gain additional Experience (XP) and Spirit (SP). Rescued Villagers drops useful items which can aid Human Characters in their survival.

29og4f5.jpg

Spirit of the Dead (Item)
These can be found in different parts of the woods appearing randomly and are beneficial to the Character which obtained it. They are of three different kinds: 'Experience', 'Double Damage' and 'Mana Regeneration'. 'Experience' gives double value of Experience (XP) to the Character when using Rest In Peace or Raise Dead. 'Double Damage' increases the damage of the Character to two times. 'Mana Regeneration' increases the regeneration rate of mana. All of these effects last only a short period of time.

Spirit (SP) and Items
Spirits (SP) are used to acquire (buy) items for use against the opponents. Items are found in tents (for humans) or in crypts (for undeads) which are located in team base or somewhere around the woods. Other items are dropped when a non-Character human or undead is killed. Humans are unable to use undeads' items and undeads are unable to use humans' items.
It is important to obtain items and use them against the opponents as it can help you reach your objective more easily.

Replenishing Hit Points and Mana
Humans can replenish hit points by using the medical herb and replenish mana by drinking Wine. There may also be other items which can help humans replenish hitpoints or mana. Undeads can replenish hit points by using the Undeath Essence and replenish mana by using the Undeath Spirit. Alternatively, Undeads can use the Absorb Soul ability to siphon hitpoints from a non-leveling undead but will destroy it instantly, making it unable to be raised.

END OF GAMEPLAY GUIDE. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!

I can't try it now (surprised?)

But it sounds... indifferent, I guess.

Spells need more customization. Some of them aren't so special.

But wow, environment is good.

I love the terrain. I'll definitely have to try it out sometime. Maybe tomorrow. Btw, I noticed the Quest dialog thing is empty. You should use it for game info.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
  • Ghan Ghan:
Heard Houston got hit pretty bad by storms last night. Hope all is well with TH.
