problems in 1.24

hey sorry if i couldnt find the right thread for this one, im really frustrated now and i need any help i can get.

so we all know of the recent 1.24 patch, it just made everything so bad. im having problems when i test my map in NewGen editor, at first i thought it was the EGUI because i recently installed it at the same time as i did with 1.24 patch, NewGen loaded fine, but when i CTRL+f9'd to test the map, an error occured (pics below). what's happening? i dont understand the error types of a windows OS. what also got me frustrated is that i reinstalled everything again, but this time not loading GUI: so just the standard, WC3 then patched it to 1.24, then opened NewGen, same error. so im thinking this might be the patch thats giving me a problem. anyone care to help? :(

For me, NewGen bugs the maps created with it. Makes playable players = 0. So instead, do this, in normal WE, open up your map, and open up the EGUI map that you download, then copy the parts of the EGUI function(s) code(s) you are using, then place them in the Custom Script portion in the trigger editor when you click on the (mapicon)"name of your map here" it will look like this.

nah no problem with the bugs etc. i was just testing out a new map again to see if it would load, in NEWGEN, the same errors i posted above happened. but when i manually load it in warcraft 3 and play the game file, it works. the problem is just its so much hassle not being able to test the map in NewGen, i have to save the map, open up WC3 and run it. anyone have the same problem?

yes i did, i got the latest one if im not mistaken, since i only knew about it after 1.24 was launched. NewGen alone wont let me TEST MAP properly without getting the errors (pics above), NewGen with EGUI also gives the same errors. my only way to try out a map is actually saving it and running it via WC3.

yep! i most definitely can, but that means i have to SAVE whatever i'm creating in NewGen and clicking on Arthas' head, press SINGLE PLAYER, CUSTOM GAME, find my map etc.

Shh. I didn't remember. >=O

Slow down on the bumping buddy. There's a 24 hour minimum between each bump. You don't have to bump every day though. Maybe every two days or so -_-'

Does the EGUI.w3x map load with Test Map?

test map doesn't work at all (if you mean CTRL+f9) even a blank map wont work :/

Normal World Editor - Test Map Works
NewGen w/o EGUI - Test Map wont work, dunno why
NewGen w/ EGUI - Test Map wont work

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
