w/e was much nicer. I dont like the rainbow-ey thing.

Also, all these people not handing in sigs is terrible. Ruins the whole point of this.

I voted for Purge, because I couldn't see what had been done to w/e's sig. It sort of looks like any picture, with some text saying blues. It would be much easier to know if I saw the original.
I like the idea of Purge's sig, but I think it misses something. The rainbow thing looks very out of place, and 'color' is written as if it was a gameboy color commercial :p I also like how the picture "rocks". (I guess it's just the guy on the picture that rocks, but the whole signature seems to rock, imo. Which is really neat! :cool:)

But for most, quality > quantity. That's why I try to auto assume the quantity when I critique. :p

My sig is a little random.

W/e's sig looks slightly overexposed.

Narwy's effects are amazing but the teal doesn't fit.

HAHAHAA! I seriously actually dig deep to find some critique. :\

Unfourtunately, I lost my original picture. But it was very different. Yes, I suppose I kind of overdid the exposure.

All in all, it is a great tournament. It would have been greater if Narwain had actually participated against others. :p
Sorry narwain, but you can be intimidating. :)

And purge, I think you have a great sig, but I think that the rainbow kind of ruined it for me because it contrasts too much with the old black and white theme of the photo. I think that if you had added more effects around the rainbow, such as some particles or external lighting, it would have easily pwned mine. :eek:

I think the teal in Narwain's is awesome. And w/e has a point. The rainbow... totally screws it up.

the rainbow idea was good but if u made it thinner it would look really nice

now about narwys somehow im just not feeling the sig, the effect is good but i just couldnt really feel the blues xD

Teal is Player 3's color in Warcraft. A mix between blue and green. :p

I know. I was against this when people began to do so. But I had pretty good reason for it.. It wouldn't have made any difference to voting, because it's impossible for me to get a single vote if I am against Narwain (only Narwain and I would vote me). We saw it in our sig battle. And then another reason is that I want to focus more on the WelpZones Cinematic Contest, because there I can actually do something..

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
