Test Map function doesnt work

For the last few versions of warcraft (it used to work like a year ago), the "Test Map" function hasnt worked. If I click "Test Map" it saves my map, then just opens to the opening screen of Warcraft III, reign of chaos, even though im using The Frozen Throne. I've tried changing the map file path to "Maps\FrozenThrone\Test\WorldEditTestMap" but that didnt work. Does anyone else have this problem? Anyone know the fix?

You need to manually save the map before you click that button, otherwise that happens

Have you saved before trying the test map function? I remember hearing that things go wrong if you don't save before using it.

Make sure after you save you don't move anything/do anything.
Press CTRL+S (To save) then directly hit the Test Map button.

Are you using NewGen? The standard editor? Something else?

Try to see if the map requires expansion pack, if it doesn't, make it (like modify a game constant).

Try reinstalling warcraft and see if that helps.

No im using just the standard world editor. And the map definitely requires TFT.




I'm on a Mac, if that helps anyone.

If I click "Test Map" it saves my map

you shouldnt let TestMap save..
save yourself (so that vJASS will parse) and hit testmap to LOAD the map.

He's saved it himself, plus he doesn't even have NewGen for vJASS .
