Vampiric Potion Castable on Another Unit

All in the title.

Vampiric Potion potion is an item that allows you to gain +12 to attack and a 75% life steal.

The ability in the object editor is "Vampiric Potion". However, turning it into an ability only allows the unit to cast it on himself. I'd like to be able to target other units (like Rejuvenation, or Bloodlust).

Any ideas?

um... you could make it a "dud" ability where you cast it from the item, but the item itself has no abilites...then trigger it to take the targeted unit of the spell (so any unit can be counted) and either add buffs to the unit...or make a dummy unit cast it on em' :/

ohhh...or you could base the item from that rejuvination or bloodlust thingy and just change the buffs around :3 giving it item +12 atk and item 0.75 vamp(ness) ;D..you know...for so long :/

Sorry, I wast clear enough.

It's an item in the game, I want to turn it into a spell which can target other units besides the caster.

Using Rejuv or Bloodlust as a dummy spell and faking the attack bonus still leaves me without a way to add Vampiric, unless I create an aura based off Vampiric Aura that only effects the targeted unit. I could trigger it to be added to the unit upon casting of the spell then remove it when the buff runs out. That's a lot of work.

Vampiric Potion (the ability, not the item) does all the work for me, I just can't figure out how to target another unit with the ability. Even if I was to use a dummy ability (like Rejuv or BL) to target the unit, giving the Vampiric Aura ability to a dummy unit will only cast it on the dummy unit itself, not the unit being targeted.

Adding the Vampiric Potion Item temporarily to the targeted unit, and forcing it to use the item also doesn't work because non-hero units are not able to use items (like footmen, archers, grunts, etc. All non-hero units).

Set life of damage source to (life of damage source + Damage Done x 0.75)

Dirac is correct, there's no way to change Vampiric Potion ability to be castable onto another unit. You should use a damage amplifier unit targeting spell (such as Inner Fire) and trigger the lifesteal.

You have also the choice to create a "tome of vampiric potion" on the target unit (base it off a tome and put as effect the Vampiric Potion spell), however the target unit requires to be unpaused and needs an inventory (easy to be checked and easy to add/remove an inventory from a unit)

I thought about triggering the action before, but here's the part that's stopped me:

Set life of damage source to (life of damage source + Damage Done x 0.75)

Is there a "Damage Done" command in the trigger editor, or do I make that a variable calculating the damage each time the unit attacks?

The best I could find was "Damage Taken", but this (logically speaking) doesn't work.

Also, Damage Taken doesn't seem to be definable. I can't indicate that I want to know the damage taken from the attacked unit... and I can't seem to find an option for the damage dealt by a unit.

Any suggestions?
