I am just wondering... when you cast a spell like war stomp or something along those lines does "Target Point of Ability Being Cast" work to refer to the area that is affected by your spell?

spells such as warstomp are instant, and you dont have to target them. but aoe spells that you DO target, such as blizzard, refer to the centre of the circular AOE (or the point at which you click, like in breath of fire) . it's a point, a point. not area.

yes... i know about targeted AOE spells but do instant AOE spells count as "Target of ability being cast"? That was my question. Just a yes or no would be nice.

Thanks anyway Lanboy. :)

Well if you want to get the middle of the spell effect just get that caster's position.

about warstomp and spells that has no target it's easy to set them as target:
like this:
Code:
Cast WarStomp
    Events
Unit - A unit Begins casting an ability
    Conditions
(Ability being cast) Equal to War Stomp
    Actions
Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units within 512.00 of (Position of (Triggering unit))) and do (Actions)
            Loop - Actions
that should pick ur target also u can add a condition to this picking like (Owner of (matching unit)) is an enemy of (Owner of (triggering unit))
hope that should help :p
