You are trying to import a skin as an icon. Dont do that. Import your skin via import manager, set the right path, the close WE and reopen it to see the custom skin on your model.

I think he means the skin only shows up on the icon area.

Yea but thats not import manager. Import manager is located under module.

You should search up the MODEL not the SKIN. You should insert MODEL path, not the path you used for the SKIN. If you imported a skin for Demon Hunter, all the units with Demon Hunter model will get your imported skin. With me?

ok that pisture i posted was under module import manager but those 2 boxes are object editor to edit the units model to the custon one and it doesnt say the file under models.all i want to know is how to fix it,how to make my imported skin go under model and not under icon

The skin I'm going to tell you about now is Demon Hunter

1.Import the Demon Hunter skin
2. Change path to Textures\HeroDemonHunter.blp
3. Open the object editor
4. Select an unit
5. Change model path to units\nightelf\herodemonhunter\herodemonhunter.mdl

You can't use many different skins on same model

O.k I finally got the image extractor to work.

Now, I'm using GIMP to edit a Fel Kodo Beast skin. And I was wondering, is there a way to get the 'Select hand-drawn regions' tool to automatically select a part of the skin? Because I'm terrible at outlining the parts I want to edit via freehand.

1 i color it as .tga in gimp
2 i save it as .tga uncompressed
3 i go back to the wc3image extractor open my image then save it as herotaurenchieftan as .blp
4 i open world editor
5 i go to module inport manager import the file herotaurencheiftan.blp
6 close and save what i have done in world edit
7 reopen world edit
8 i go to object editor
9 nothing is there in inport

I DONT SEE WHAT I AM DOING WRONG SOME1 PLZ HELP ME
if i dont find out the problem just come over to my house and show me

You need to change the path of the skin to that of the Tauren Chieftain's original skin.
