Say what?

im saying that i was good at warcraft 3 then i finaly got it back then i faced a comp easy i won then after several other games that i won i lost then i lost again and again and again :banghead:

Just keep trying. I can actually beat an easy computer with NE. If I can, you can. I fail at melee. :)

Don't quit the game when you get attacked? That should help you lose less.

Pick a race and keep playing it until you don't lose to 1v1 easy computers.
i have been i have been playing a lot each time i lose faster and faster
edit shut up jaybles

well now i know why i lose its becuse i dont rush so i dea and sice i hate rushing im not going to do it to win i will loose i now want to know a way to beat rushing without rushing

Well, when you just say they rush you, its hard for me to tell what trouble you're having with it.. Rushing just means attacking early, and to counter it you don't do anything that special. . .

Anyways, it would help me understand what your problem is if you gave a replay of one of the times it beat you.

well replays are broken so i cant record them some how and i lost my warcraft 3 cds so i cant reinstall

from my experience, Normal AI>Most real players. Just keep at it until you can beat an easy ai without trouble and you will be among most people on the bnet. Keep in mind each race has certain things it should do early on, like building a mana burn tower by lumber gatherers for human.

thats rushing right i want to go my own pace and i will never again face people on bnet ever thing is i want to have fun evory game i go into i cant becuse theres to many serius people that dont like people that just want to have fun

Sadly I don't believe this is true, as I can easily beat two insane computers by myself just by harrassing them. Most people on Bnet are at the same level I am (I'm at 50% W-L).

I would recommend viewing http://www.wcreplays.com/forums/ to learn more about melee and how to stop enemies from dominating you early game, because if you lose stuff early game you are put at a big disadvantage for the rest of the game.

heh well don't wanna blow my own trumpet but I can beat normal AI without too much sweat but then I've been playing melle games online for years. My advice is to start off playing team games over bnet, 4v4 is good for noobs as theres more players to make up for your noobishness, team games where you can see what your allies are doing are good for learners.

if i play i get yelled at and told to quit playing the game so nothats why i quit playing bnet and i cant beat easy computers even ina out numberd team i cant win

The best/easiest/only way to get a "fun game at my own pace" is to find someone who wants to enjoy the game as much as you at your pace, and play a private game with them.

EDIT: If you play the Single-Player Campaign (without cheating) online games should be somewhat easier.

News portal has been retired. Main page of site goes to Headline News forum now
  • The Helper The Helper:
I am working on getting access to the old news portal under a different URL for those that would rather use that for news before we get a different news view.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Easily done

https://www.thehelper.net/pages/news/ is a link to the old news portal - i will integrate it into the interface somewhere when i figure it out
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Need to try something
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Hopefully this won't cause problems.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Hmm
  • Ghan Ghan:
I have converted the Headline News forum to an Article type forum. It will now show the top 20 threads with more detail of each thread.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    See how we like that.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do not see a way to go past the 1st page of posts on the forum though
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while
  • Ghan Ghan:
Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the pagination.
  • Ghan Ghan:
It SHOULD be there so I think it might just be an artifact of having an older style.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I switched it to a "Standard" article forum. This will show the thread list like normal, but the threads themselves will have the first post set up above the rest of the "comments"
  • The Helper The Helper:
I don't really get that article forum but I think it is because I have never really seen it used on a multi post thread
  • Ghan Ghan:
RpNation makes more use of it right now as an example: https://www.rpnation.com/news/
