are there any buffs that cannot be dispelled that are shown ingame. if not. what would be the best way to go about making such buffs not able to be dispelled without adding the ability of spell immunity to the unit?

I was asking myself the other day and i still don't know for sure. I would like you to test it though, since you are on it, make the buff's icon have "High priority". I know high priority does not let other buffs of medium or low priority to take its place, but i don't know what comes for the dispell. Try it and let us know. (Go to the buff, and change the field Art - Required Spell Detail) Still, i don't know if just "Art" can work as a non-displaceable tool for the buffs and i don't know that if a buff icon is kept after casting the dispell, will result "wear off" the buff's actual effect. E.g. Roar, if you cast dispell but finally find a way to keep the buff icon, will the +damage stay or leave, but the icon will remain?

While we're kind of on the topic, exactly what does "Art - Desired Spell Detail" even do? I've always wondered.. Additionally, some of the buffs in my game don't finish their tooltip, it gets cut off only after a few words, what's the issue?

If I'm not mistaken, those Art Priority thing is for graphic quality. Some people sets their graphic quality to low to increase the game speed. And so, some effects with 'high' priority will not appear in game.

this is correct. you can test this yourself by adding a looping spell gfx to a aura and puttin the spell detail to low. run next to any unit that meets the requirement. the loop will only work once. turn the spell detail to high and should work.

All buffs short of doom are dispelable, and I'm sure you don't want doom as your buff. A work around is triggers and spellbooks. When your spell that places the buff is cast create a spellbook with an aura set to self with the buff you want and give it to the unit. Then disable the spellbook, while the icon won't show up the aura will work and the unit will have the buff. You will have to add things like any effects and a timer for them yourself though. As even if the aura buff can't be removed without a trigger a dispel will still remove any positive effects given by the spell.

I'm not saying i don't know how to use spell books. i would just rather not. and yes, doom is not a likely buff for this topic. i wish blizzard would of at least finished up buffs with negative or positive(beneficial) and made some things UN-dispel able

all the priority will do is make, say a dryads dispells a unit with said buff but has 5 other buffs, highest priority gets dispelled first, low priority gets dispelled last.

Still, i don't know if just "Art" can work as a non-displaceable tool for the buffs and i don't know that if a buff icon is kept after casting the dispell, will result "wear off" the buff's actual effect. the art icon from the buff is actually hardcoded to the buff itself. you remove the buff you remove the art icon. to my knowledge without modifying game files there is no way to leave a buff icon on a unit without a buff.
