Casting Rain of Fire

A mage can cast "Rain of Fire" spell. When the mage casts "Rain of Fire" he must stay where he stands and cast every wave separately.

Question:
What should be changed, so that the mage can cast "Rain of Fire", walk away and waves would still continue raining down - even the mage is not there to cast every wave separately?

You need to make a dummy unit that actually casts it, so copy+paste some type of area ability (Like cluster rockets). Remove all physical effects and change the art, text etc to match your spell. Give that to your sorceress and make an ability that detects when you cast it. When you "Start the effect of an ability" you should create a dummy unit at the point of the unit (Dummy units need a model with no death sounds, and need to be very small and no collision + have locust ability). So you create it, order it to cast the ability (Setting the level, make sure either dummy has enough mana or ability requires none), and make sure to give it an expiration timer of about the length of the ability (Add about .5~1 second bonus for casting delays)

Just for future reference, the reason this cannot be done without a dummy unit, is because it is a channeling spell.

All channelling spells (Ie; Blizzard, Rain of Fire etc) require the hero to be standing still at all times while casting.

Make a dummyspell from flamestrike.
DL my editor mod, find the "Advanced - Dummy Caster - Cast spell at point", make it cast rain of fire at the target of the dummyspell.
