Exporting Models

Ok, so I'm trying to get hero glow on many various units for a map I'm currently working on. I read the 'Adding Materials to a Model' tutorial and it looks pretty straight forward apart from this:

"Once you have exported your model to MDL format"

How do I export the model in the first place? I can't seem to find this info anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and if your just going to post telling me to search, please don't. I have tried looking at various websites, and searched the forums here and haven't found anything that helps.

You need an MPQ editor such as WinMPQ to extract the models from either the war3.mpq or war3x.mpq files in the warcraft install directory. It then needs to be converted to .mdl (from .mdx, then format blizzard uses) using either yogbul's file converter or Magos' Model Editor.
