Full Screen Bag System - Work In Progress

Hey guys , i just learned how to use trackables and stuff so im making a bag system. I only started today ( 9/9/08 ) and i could use some suggestions.


I will release it and heres what im going to have so far.


1)At least 9 Slots Per Bag
2)Implementing A Save/load Code That Will save The Items
3)Dropping / Aquireing Items.
4)Item Charges

I'm working on a system that's similar, but made for a single player campaign. Not many ideas as it's kind of hard to think of cool things to add to the inventory, but I just felt like saying that.

Are you basing it off something that can be cached?

yes i think the bags would be pretty cool to hold various things. They would be good for a map with alot o items. offtopic: GooS ur picture is weird.

No, I don't want them to do that :) just asked if they did, cus then I wouldn't want it :D as I use a special inventory system for the already existing 6 slots and don't want the extra slots to be used passively.

Another question, do you need a selected space on the map that is blacked out for your inventory? I've tried one system earlier but that one needed a special area on the map and well many special stuff so I skipped it :)

Yea , it takes up 16x16 room

For each player or is that all?

and is the spot fixed so it has to be in the top-left corner or something like that?

16x16 for everyones , well its a lil more than that probly like 20x20.
for all 12 , and i fixed it to bottom right so u can change the maps size however you want.

If you use trackables, I don't think multiple players can use it can they? Because you can't detect which player clicked which trackable.

EDIT: 1200 post :)

Don't use trackables. Use custom models and units, so that they can be clicked. Much easier.
