Heard of variables? create a integer var that increases depending on whatever you want, then add gold = var

A variable is anything you want it to be. It can be a integer, real, unit, unit group, ability, region, boolean (true/false statement), etc. etc.

You can manipulate variables anytime. So what he's basically saying is this:

set a variable to the gold amount. Then whenever you get a unit, increase that variable. For example, we can set an integer variable to the base gold amount you want each player to receive:

Trigger:
  • Set GoldAmount = 25

Then, if a player gets a creep, you increase that variable:

Trigger:
  • Set GoldAmount = GoldAmount + 10

So now, GoldAmount is 35 instead of 25. Make sense? I assume you know how to create variables? That is very very basic, but hopefully you get the idea of what you need to do.

I assume you need to make the income work for every different players. Then you'll have to use an integer array variable. I'll also be adding a trigger that enables you to check your income by typing "-income"

Trigger:
  • Initialize
    • Events
      • Map initialization
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • For each (Integer A) from 1 to 16, do (Actions)
        • Loop - Actions
          • Player - Set (Player((Integer A))) Current gold to 200 <-- Starting gold amount
          • Set PlayerIncome[IntegerA] = 25 <-- Base income amount
          • Trigger - Add to Show Income <gen> the event (Player - (Player((Integer A))) types a chat message containing -income as An exact match)

Trigger:
  • Income
    • Events
      • Time - Every 20.00 seconds of game time
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • For each (Integer A) from 1 to 16, do (Actions)
        • Loop - Actions
          • Player - Add PlayerIncome[IntegerA] to (Player((Integer A))) Current gold

And to increase income, you this simple trigger. But before using the trigger, you will be required to set the amount each unit adds to the income. You can do this by setting the "Point Value" equal to the additional income amount in the Object Editor under "Stats - Point Value".

Trigger:
  • Add Income
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Finishes training a unit
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Set PlayerIncome[(Player number of (Owner of (Triggering unit)))] = (PlayerIncome[(Player number of (Owner of (Triggering unit)))] + (Point-value of (Trained unit)))

And here's the income showing trigger

Trigger:
  • Show Income
    • Events
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Game - Display to (All players matching ((Matching player) Equal to (Triggering player))) the text: (Your income is + (String(PlayerIncome[(Player number of (Triggering player))])))

I'm not sure what the ROC editor is limited to. There is no generic unit events so you'll have to use Player Owned unit event and one event for each player.

I don't think you have loops, but I do think you have arrays (under the variable editor when you make a variable, check array)

If you don't have loops, then simply do

set x[Player 1 (Red)] = whatever

loops are showed as "For Each Integer A" under actions
