I've got a really annoying JASShelper problem :( Whenever it finds an error in my code, it doesn't show the error window, it just closes the progress window when saving.

I was using NewGen 5a with v1.20a (I was waiting for 1.21b patch to download), could that be the cause of the problem?

Any idea why JASShelper isn't showing the errors?

EDIT: I re-installed WC3 (again...) and I'm still getting the problem

EDIT AGAIN: Seems I can use the 'Show previous errors' option in the JASShelper menu, but it'll be a pain in the ass to continuously swap between Trigger Editor and main WE window :(
 
Bha... I can open wc3, I can open newgen maps but I can not test newgen maps.. Any solvation to this? I get an error saying that wc3.exe needs emergency shutdown..
 
kc, you are my hero. Now this raises questions, how did kc come across those?

Its only in the thread on the front page of wc3c, and 2 or so threads in tech support on blizzard forums, lol.
 
kc, what do I do if I can open wc3, open newgen maps, start normal maps but not newgen maps?.. Downloaded the first 2.
 
Just an idea:

- Put your old worldedit.exe into your NewGen folder
- Put your new worldedit.exe where it belongs

- Change the findpath.lua thingy of your newgen to point to the old worldedit.exe and voila?


Once a new newgen comes out, it should overwrite findpath.lua anyhow, so no biggy...
 
New Gen works just fine for me after replacing worldedit.exe with an older one.
 
Dont work 4 me,tried replacing worldedit.exe, still now work, i got some newgen triggers in my map, i guess im going to have to wait -.-
 
Kc, I don't get it.
What must I do, to make New Gen work with the new Patch?
Replace the New Gen Directory with...? :S
 
Seems to work now...
Sometimes gives me an error message, but I guess I can live with that =)
 
Its not a copied sig man, its legit.

Also, you can't test maps when you patch worldedit.exe. I'm trying to figure out a way around this. Been replacing .exes and stuff, no luck so far.

I can enter them from warcraft, but not test. All I've done is replaced my worldedit with the one from kc102's signature.

Which I don't know how to do necessarily, but I need some kind of a hobby and figuring out how older things worked is the only shit that really interests me. Well soldering and restoration is fun too, but no one is bringing me new stuff to fix and restore, so it's mostly old shit, and I LOVE OG Xbox so much. I want to make sure it can function as long as possible, until someone can effectively emulate it at least. I have like 15 I was going to fix over the winter and didn't get to.

    Yeah Tom, me too sorry for your loss buddy my mom told me she finds out her olds friend died from Google searching them. She had not talked to one of her old friends in a year and found out she died from Google. Also another one in the same session. RIP all of them my sincere condolences Tom

    We have some elderly guests that regularly come hang out at the bar at the end of the night, and every once in a while we don't see someone for a few weeks and then someone shows up with their obituary.

There was one guy named Tom that came in like every night and would sit by himself and get a bunch of soup and a glass of wine. idk why but he LOVED our fucking soup, like he would order a fucking quart of it at a time and would always get so sad when we stop doing it for the summer.

    So I decided to Google some people that I had not seen or heard from in a while and sure enough one of my old best friends, we had a falling out years ago but whatever, find out he died of Pancreatic Cancer in January. I have also lost a few of my closer acquaintances from growing up the last year. Getting old - people die - I kinda thought it was going to be this way a few years ago....
