A Muslim police officer claims he was forced out of his job by colleagues who made fun of his beard and called him a 'f***ing Paki'.

PC Javid Iqbal, 38, said white officers openly discussed in front of him how they were ' better' than their ethnic-minority colleagues.

The married father of two also claims officers pulled faces at each other if told they had to go out on patrol with him and forced him to walk home from a job instead of picking him up.

I lol'd at his beard. :p

Subsequently, he said, an officer had openly referred to him as a 'f***ing Paki'.

After reading the article, this is all I saw that would really be considered offensive. Many of the other things are claims that are only from his side of the story, and so they aren't believable.

Mr Iqbal had only recently returned to work after a ninemonth leave of absence on full pay owing to depression when he was sacked for poor performance in August last year.

"NINE MONTHS"?!? on full pay?!!! That's ridiculous!!

Well no wonder his colleagues don't like him. Bad looking beard and being depressed for 9 months on full pay.

Not in Tennessee. There are a few towns in Tennessee where it's illegal to mow your lawn, but walking around naked is perfectly legal.

Lol @ his beard.

I started laughing at his beard. But still, making fun of him in public is not right.

Thought his beard was photoshopped.
If I wasn't so lazy, I would find clues to prove it's photoshopped.

I'd hate him too for getting 9 months of full pay for 'depression'. Stuff like that makes ME depressed...

Facial hair says one of two things. On the one hand, you can have George Clooney style facial hair (http://stylebell.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/george_clooney_01.jpg). This says "I'm rugged and sexy. Have sexual intercourse with me." The other is the kid in this article which says "I'm scraggly and unkempt and mostly mentally unstable. I probably want to eat your children. Avoid me." As I said, his is clearly in the second category. Although in all fairness some of the remarks that were apparently leveled against him were very harsh, I'll admit that, and if they're true the workers should be reprimanded. But he also needs better facial hair, he gives the rest of us scragglyfolk a bad name.

I think the main issue with the guys beard is that its very close to his bottom lip without going over, as wastedsaviour demonstrates with his image. Since there is little spacing, aswell as the rich black color that it is, he looks like he has a baby face with what is the same of an old man beard, in the color of a young persons hair - it just looks odd.

I personally go for a Hugh Jackman look with my facial hair.

Congratulations on your ability to stereotype people who bother to shape their beard.
You can't split people into scraggly and rugged. There are waaaay too many beard variations for that.

I was being sarcastic... I have a great deal of facial hair and it makes me look incredibly mentally unstable if there were just two categories... I know that's not true.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
