Hi, i'm just wondering what happens if i edit a skin from wc3 and then import it at the same path as the default skin. Will it take extra space on the map?

Yes it will. If you import it into the map, then the old skin will be unusable and the new one will use some space.
You could replace the current skin in the MPQ, but then only you would be able to see it.
