Short form for "seconds"

Hi. Just one English question I think when I write a spell description.

Lasts 5 seconds

Which is the right short form (don't know what it is called) for "seconds" :

Lasts 5 sec/secs

There's nothing wrong though with "5 seconds"...

I prefer to put it short form to save space.

5s is ok, but most of the description i have written secs. To make sure i write the right thing, is it correct to write "5 secs"?

secs sounds like sex!!

I believe '5 sec' and '5 secs' both work just fine. -No one is going to hate your map over it.
You can also use:
'Cooldown: 5' or 'Cd: 5'

anything can be used as long as the player can recognize that its seconds
sec, secs, seconds, etc...
