Well I've read andrew's tutorial on them but it's not working out for me.
When I add an ability to my hero it goes on both my hero and into the spellbook.
How do you only put an ability only into the spellbook?
Then if I disable the abilities so they don't show they the stop functioning on my hero completely.
I doubt there are two glaring errors with his guide so what's wrong?
Trigger 1: it's currently not enabled because if it is then the abilites don't show or work on my hero but it was in his guide to do.

The spell book has the data of 2 max spells, 0 minimum spells, and both Offensive Mana Empowerment SB, and Defensive Mana Empowerment SB are in the spell book's spell field.
